White Oaks Elementary School of Burke, Virginia, hosts the annual White Oaks Chess Challenge, inviting students from seven other schools to compete in the Royal Game. Twelve players represented each of the following schools: Keene Mill, Laurel Ridge, Lorton Station, Oak View, Orange Hunt, Silverbrook, Terra Centre, and White Oaks. The winner of the 2007 Challenge was White Oaks.
