Suburban School Programs

Chess is catching on in a big way in the northern Virginia suburbs. In 2005-2006 we are running before- or after-school clubs in the schools listed below. Some of these schools allow students who are not enrolled in the school to participate in the club.

Blessed Sacrament (Chevy Chase)
Churchill Road (McLean)
Colin Powell (Centreville)
Colvin Run (Vienna)
Forestville (Great Falls)
Franklin Sherman (McLean)
Great Falls (Great Falls)
Haycock (Falls Church)
Keene Mill (Springfield)
Kent Gardens (McLean)
Lorton Station (Lorton)
Louise Archer (Vienna)
Oak View (Fairfax)
Orange Hunt (Springfield)
Our Lady of Good Counsel (Vienna)
Silverbrook (Fairfax Station)
Spring Hill (McLean)
White Oaks (Burke)
Wolftrap (Vienna)

Several schools in the Maryland and Virginia suburbs are teaching chess to students as part of the school day to supplement their academic curriculum. To learn how your school can teach chess, visit the teachers page or send us a note.
