The U.S. Chess Center is a non-profit organization committed to providing chess instruction at a reasonable cost so that any interested child may participate in our programs.

We do not turn away any child based on an inability to pay.

We need financial support from those who are able to give to keep our fees low and the quality of our programs the highest in the Washington DC metro area. The U.S. Chess Center is a 501(c)(3) organization and donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.

How your donation to the U.S. Chess Center will help ….

$15 will allow us to donate a chess set to a school or organization that helps underprivileged kids to introduce them to the benefits of chess.

$30 will provide a scholarship for a month of lessons for a child to attend Chess Kids.

$60 will cover the cost of one teacher to help children in an inner city school.

$100 will pay for a teen to attend Sunday Chess for a semester.

$500 will help us hire additional teachers to expand our programs and provide additional instructors at larger clubs.
