For kids in grades K-12

You can design our next medallion!
Each year, we award hundreds of medallions to students who perform at a high level in our tournaments. Medallions come in gold, silver and bronze with a design in the middle of each, just like the Olympics. We want you to create the design in the middle!

The medallions are about 2" in diameter. Make a drawing that size or larger; we will make it fit into the circular medallion.

Make it colorful!

Make it exciting!

Make it wild!

The winning entry will receive a gold medal with the design, recognition through this web page, and free entry to any scholastic chess tournament held within a year of the winner being selected.

Entries become the property of the U.S. Chess Center and will not be returned.

We must receive the entry by June 10, 2005, for it to be considered.

Judging is done by the staff of the U.S. Chess Center and its decision is final.

(Hint: Winning entries have never included written words, just chess-related designs.)
