Greg Acholonu earned the title of National Master in 1982 and the title of Senior Master (America's highest national ranking) ten years later. In 1989, he became Maryland Action Champion and in 1992 was the Maryland Closed Champion.

Mr. Acholonu teaches children, teens and adults the game. His love of chess is quite evident in his interactions with his students. He is happy to have the opportunity to share his passion with rising generations of chessplayers.
