International Grandmaster John Fedorowicz comes to the U.S. Chess Center to give a short, fun talk and a simultaneous chess exhibition as part of the Richard K. Delaune, Jr., Memorial Tournament.

You may reserve a board to play with Grandmaster Fedorowicz for $25 (20 if you are registered for the Delaune Memorial or are a member of the U.S. Chess Center.)

John Fedorowicz was a personal friend of International Master Richard K. Delaune, a long-time resident of the national capital area. Fedorowicz is known for his fighting style and has been known as the "Rocky Balboa of Chess." He was twice the U.S. Junior Champion and has won numerous major international events, including Cannes 1987, Sesimbra 1987, New York 1989 and Wijk Aan Zee 1990. He has also won the U.S. Open and the World Open.
