Master/Expert Section Prizes Are Guaranteed! Money prizes in the other sections are based on 16 players
per section.
Players may compete only in their own section, except students in K-12 may play up one section. Official ratings
from the May rating supplement will be used.
4-Round Swiss System, Time Control: 30/90, SD/60 in the top five sections (the sections with money prizes) and Game/45
in the three sections with trophy prizes.
Registration for all runs from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Games in the money sections begin Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., and on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
In the trophy sections, the tournament will be played in one day, Saturday, with rounds starting at 11:15 a.m., 1:00 p.m.,
3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Entry fee: $42 in the sections with money prizes if the registration is mailed by May 9, $50 later. The registration
fee for the trophy sections and for unrated players is $15 if mailed by May 9, $20 later.
Unrated players may play in any section but are not eligible for money prizes. Players with unpublished ratings may use
them at the discretion of the tournament organizer.
This is a nationally-rated tournament, so USCF membership is required. USCF membership may be purchased at the US Chess
Center at any time.
Team awards for schools! The top four school teams will each receive a trophy. The top four scores (in any section)
from any school is the school team. Schools are not limited to any number of players.
