Maurice Ashley Visits the U.S. Chess Center

International Grandmaster Maurice Ashley visited Washington for a spectacular exhibition October 11 - 12 to benefit the programs of the U.S. Chess Center and to further our mission of teaching chess to children as a means of improving their academic and social skills.

GM Ashley introduced ChessWorks, the newest initiative of the U.S. Chess Center to teach middle school and high school students to become chess teachers, then hire them.
